This roll-neck sweater is made of chunky wool with a dry, rustic hand and a tight rib, dashed with twisted cables slithering along the body and sleeves. As if knitted in the depths of the Black forest, this warm turtleneck has a straight tunic sleeves that recall the proportions of medieval menswear. The roll-neck, cuffs and hem are finished with a tighter rib that seals the heat inside, so you can joust outside.

Shetland Sheep are a small, hardy breed from the Shetland Island in Northern Scotland. Their fleeces can have a smooth silky or a cottony feel and produce excellent yarn with lots of “life” and great insulation qualities. Lightweight Shetland sweaters were worn to the top of Mt. Everest by Hillary and Tensing in 1953.
