This zipped sweater is made of plush eco cashmere with a round, luxurious hand .Its shape and knitting pattern are a nod to 1950’s Scandinavian fishermen sweaters, with its mock neck collar, half-zip and contrast finishings. The « Save the Fucking Whales » slogan is knitted in its geometric, illustrated pattern, nodding to Phipps’ seasonal partnership with American NGO Oceanic Global.

Like most species, whales are affected by the warming climate; their migration patterns are growing longer, and their natural habitats are disappearing. However, increasing whale populations could be an effective strategy in reducing carbon emissions: each great whale sequesters an estimated 33 tons of CO2 on average, making them as effective as thousands of trees.
