Hunting Parka

Size Chart

The Hunting parka is made of compact cotton gabardine that is garment dyed, giving a rugged look to its textured twill base. Conceived as a ranger’s ideal uniform, this lightweight jacket features a set of embroidered patches which seal its allegiance to the protection of the forest. Its practical finishings include a detachable hood, hand-warmer pockets, and wide, articulated sleeves that facilitate movement. This minimal parka is designed to be worn with the equally subdued Hunting cargo pants, completing this streamlined uniform.

The word Khaki derives from the Hindu word meaning "dusty," which referred to the light brown cotton of the Indian army uniforms. Troops in 1850’s India found their white uniforms would be dusty within hours and began soaking them in mud to dye them the same practical earthy colour, camouflaging them from enemy’s sight.
