The reversible Dad jacket is made of medium weight Sibay cotton, with our pin-and-star-logo stripe print on one side, and recycled nylon on the other. Its boxy, waist-length shape is inspired by Harrington blouson jackets, with its classic collar, zip front, elastic cuffs and waistband which cause the material to gather over the wrists and waist.
"G" like Golf, “9” like the 9 holes of a golf course. The G9, also known as the Harrington jacket was created in 1937 by brothers John and Isaac Miller for British manufacturer Baracuta. This golf dad staple was hijacked by the Punk and Skinhead movements of the late 1970s, giving the goodie-goodie blouson an underground edge.
