These shit-kicking boots are made of polished cow leather and suede-like Kudu leather details. This Browns exclusive was developed with Grenson, a British shoemaker founded in 1866, combining artisanal shoemaking with Phipps’ twisted expression of subcultural functionality. Its knee-length design is both extreme and rugged - a somewhat futurist take on a DIY survivalist mentality. It features antique brass eyelets, rivets and hooks, padded suede calf buffers, riveted knife pockets and reflective laces to venture deep in the night.

To many people, the idea of wearing a boot knife brings images of cowboys getting into a bar fight.Or perhaps WWII paratroopers, dropping into battle with M3 trench knives strapped to the outside of their boot. But boot knives aren’t just concealed weapons. They have the same practical uses as any other survival knife. They are used by hikers, hunters, and bushcrafters as backups to their larger knives. When you rely on your blade to survive, you don’t want just one!

Grenson was founded in Northamptonshire, England in 1866, and the company has been perfecting the art of shoemaking ever since. Globally recognised for its quality and craftsmanship, the thoroughly British company had humble beginnings, as it all started with William Green making shoes in his loft above a Corn Merchants in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
